Gerber Is Sweet!

I love my new Gerber knife. It is totally handy, and small enough that you can keep it on you all the time. This shot was done with two strobes at camera left and right, bare bulb. No Photoshop (yes, that's why the string is still in the shot). Oh, and the best part of this Knife, pliers, screwdrivers, belt- hook combo? The belt- hook doubles as a bottle opener! Nice!

Ken and Lisa Wedding

I had a ton of fun shooting Ken and Lisa's Wedding. Lisa has gone to the same church as me as long as I can remember and It is so neat to see Ken come along and sweep her off her feet. He seems like a great guy. The whole event seemed short (4hrs) but we managed to get plenty of time in for pictures (yay! happy photographer)

Alley

This is from a late night shoot in town with Deven. We had fun (except for the no sleep thing) with a little off camera lighting.

Park It

This shot was made in a parking garage in Campbell two weekends ago. I had an amazing weekend going to my cousins graduation and just spending a couple days hanging out. After dinner grad night some of us just walked the streets and had fun taking pics. See more at http://www.flickr.com/photos/dfrandsen/

Camera Stuff- Matthew is backlit with a strobe high and behind (mounted on a piece of conduit via a justin clamp), giving him a rim light that you can see on his hair. Fill light in front is coming from an on camera strobe. Shot at ISO400, 1/50th, at f/2.8 . Adjustments made in Adobe Lightroom.

Burchfield Wedding

David and Alisha were married this last weekend and man it was a fun event. There is nothing like a family wedding! Not to mention the lighting made for a perfect day for photography. The whole family pitched-in in different ways to make this happen. It turned out beautiful. Here is a photo teaser, more to come on Flickr.
